Public Site: Linking Policies to BoardDocs Agenda Site

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for updating the policy icon on your existing BoardDocs LT or Pro site so that it directs users to Neola's new Policy Publishing Tool.

Step 1: Retrieve Your New Neola URL

  • Navigate to your new Neola public policy site.
  • Copy the URL from your browser's address bar. You can either copy the URL for your main public landing page (which displays all available books) or click into a specific manual and copy the URL to link directly to that single book. An example of this URL format is https://go.neola.com/district-slug.

Step 2: Access BoardDocs Options

  • Log in to your existing BoardDocs LT or Pro site.
  • Click on the subscriber or person icon (typically located at the top of the screen) and select BoardDocs Options from the drop-down menu, only available to Super Publishers.

Step 3: Update the Policy System Settings

  • Within the BoardDocs Options menu, navigate to the Policies tab.
  • Under the "Setup" section, locate the Select Policy System dropdown menu. Change this setting from "BoardDocs" to "External".

Step 4: Apply the New Link

  • Locate the Policies URL field that appears.
  • Paste the Neola URL you copied in Step 1 into this field.

Step 5: Save and Finalize

  • Click the Save button to apply your changes.
  • Exit the subscriber options area and refresh your browser page.

Once refreshed, clicking the policy tab or button on your BoardDocs site will successfully route users to your newly published Neola policies and guidelines.
